Reliable Service at our 24/7/365 Network Operations Center

 

CGNET servers are located in our staffed Network Operations Center (NOC) in Menlo Park, California, where we monitor our clients' resources and our internally and externally hosted services. Generally, client and CGNET assets are checked every 10 minutes. In the event of an anomaly, an alarm is activated, and an incident is created in our automated system. For each event. a scripted course of action is undertaken.

Our facility is staffed 24/365 by data center engineers. Senior staff monitors the performance of the NOC personnel about every four hours, in a procedure known as a Quality Assurance Report (QAR).

Your applications and data are also protected by a geographically separate co-location facility in conjunction with continuous online backup and recovery to ensure the highest possible trouble-free operation.

Clients of CGNET Services can contact the Network Operations Center at any time to report a problem and seek assistance from the network engineer on duty.

Reliable Facilities

CGNET's NOC features uninterruptible power, and the dynamic backup mentioned above. It also provides OC-3-level bandwidth to the Internet, over three alternative routes, including a wireless connection. These highly redundant alternatives make it extremely unlikely that connectivity into or out of the NOC will ever fail. All servers are also backed up daily to tape, and most are also backed up to virtual "snapshots" daily. Our co-location facility also features backup power from generators. Both buildings are secure, locked facilities with 24-hour staffing.
