Georg Lindsey, President and CEO

Georg co-founded CGNET in 1983 as a sustainable organization that would keep its clients at the leading edge of practical information and communication technology, with an emphasis on networking, messaging and collaboration. He has overseen and undertaken IT infrastructure designs and installations in Europe, Africa, Asia, North America, South America, and Australia. His on-the-ground experience includes working with scores of international organizations, including for example, USAID, USDA, IFAD, UNDP, UNEP, UNHCR, FAO, World Food Program, World Bank, IDRC, and DFID.
Prior to CGNET, Georg worked for Nortel Networks’ R & D laboratory Bell Northern Research. He was an architect of the OPEN WORLD Planning Framework, an integrated approach to networking computers, voice, and data communication. Georg has undertaken consulting assignments for the Rand Corporation, SRI International, NASA, NSF, Los Alamos National Scientific Laboratories, National Institutes for Health, KQED Television, UCLA, UC-Berkley, University of Southern California, Stanford University and many others.
Georg maintains a hands-on approach and personally oversees all of CGNET’s major projects.
Jim Estes, COO
Ph.D., Computer Science, University of Connecticut
Jim joined CGNET in 1994, after having served as the Head of Computer Services at the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) in India for nearly 19 years. Jim has overall responsibility for CGNET's technical consultants located around the world, CGNET's 24x7 NOC operations staff, and the engineering and maintenance of CGNET's network infrastructure. He sometimes travels to manage and assist with international consulting projects on site and also helps with the development and installation of advanced network technologies at CGNET.
Ricardo Uribe, CTO
B.S., Computer Science, Oregon State University
Ricardo joined CGNET in late 1999 after working for seven years at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) in Colombia in the GIS department, and later in the Information Systems Unit as Network and Computer Administration Manager, User Support Manager, and Acting Chief Information Officer. Ricardo works in the International Operations Area at CGNET in network design, implementation and administration, supervising the 24/7 support group and also in the area of research and development of new technologies.
Tim Haight, Vice President, Technology Services
Ph.D., Communication, Stanford University
Tim contributes to CGNET's sales, marketing, communications and consulting. Tim came to CGNET from Fawcette Technical Publications, where he was Editor-in-Chief of FTPOnline. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Communications at OneChannel, a manufacturer of business intelligence software. Tim spent 10 years at CMP Media, Inc., including positions as Editor of NetGuide, Executive Editor of Network Computing, and West Coast Bureau Chief of CommunicationsWeek.
Kimberly Reed, Office Manager
Undergraduate Studies, Stanford University
Kimberly assists in accounting and marketing projects at CGNET. She also assists upper management in various day-to-day activities. Kim has worked in various high-tech companies over the years prior to joining us and pursued undergraduate study at Stanford University.
