Listserv Information Template

 

This template outlines some of the options you have in setting up a list. Please fill this out and mail it to support@cgnet.com.

 

1. OFFICIAL NAME OF LIST :

 

2. SUGGESTED EMAIL ADDRESS NAME OF THE LIST:
(The email name of the list that will appear to the left of the "@" sign. This can be an acronym or abbreviation. Some examples of list email names are, IRRInews, SIMA, Polex-Espanol and eNewsAlert. CGNET will try to accommodate your email name request, but may have to alter the name in some situations.

 

2. COMMENT LINE DESCRIBING LIST :
(This will show up in the header of every message distributed to list.)

3. NAME (AND INTERNET ADDRESS) OF LIST MODERATOR(S) :
(This person can subscribe and unsubscribe any user to list.)

 

4. NAME (AND INTERNET ADDRESS) OF LIST ADMINISTRATOR:
(This person will have the moderator privileges described above, and in
addition, will receive notice of addressing errors in list subscriptions and user errors
in posting messages to the list.)

 

5. WHO CAN SUBSCRIBE TO THE LIST:
1 - Only moderators
2 - Anyone

 

6. WHO CAN SUBMIT MESSAGES TO THE LIST:
1 - Only moderators
2 - Only users subscribed to this list

 

7. INITIAL SUBSCRIBERS (IF ANY):
(We strongly suggest that you confirm with everyone on your subscriber list that they agree to be members on the listserv before you subscribe them or have us subscribe them - it's good etiquette and can help prevent misunderstandings with
your members... Also, please send the email addresses only, in smtp format as described in the example below:)

8. WELCOME TEXT TO BE SENT TO ALL NEW SUBSCRIBERS :
We suggest that you include the following line in your welcome text as a courtesy to the subscribers who may want to unsubscribe from the list at some time:
